Hello Families,

This has been an unusual January as these days it seems like spring! Thank you to the many families who continue to walk to school, even in the wet weather! As we all know, traffic is a huge problem at drop off and pick up time. The more students who walk, the less cars and confusion!  When it rains at arrival time, we will ring the rain bell and students will enter through their usual door. Duty teachers will supervise students inside. Parents are asked to remain outside as our hallways are not large enough to handle students and parents.

Have you enjoyed our new morning announcements yet? Our talented students have created an efficient way to share our daily announcements. The great thing is that we are able to view them any time; at home or school. Don’t forget to subscribe to our website and our You Tube channel.

We are excited about the upcoming STEAM Fair, Wed, March 8th. Students have until this Wednesday to return their registration. If you haven’t been involved in MJ’s STEAM fair, please know that this is an amazing opportunity for students to share a project with family and friends. These student-produced projects are always creative and incredibly interesting! Our youngest students are encouraged to take part in this great opportunity.

School Starts at 9:10am. Arrive on time please!  Students should be lined up and entering the building with their classes. On average, there are 10-15 students arriving late each day. That is a lot of interruptions. Thanks for working hard to arrive on time!

Lost Children – This past week we had a few frightening moments where parents and the school could not locate students after-school. In each case, it was a communication issue. Please ensure you have spoken to your children about their after-school routines, mark any changes in their planners to alleviate this stress!
