Pizza
On Fridays we have Pizza for Everyone – a much-loved part of the week for all. There are a number of aspects of the pizza coordinator role and they can be shared among multiple coordinators or delegated to volunteers by a single coordinator or co-coordinators. At the moment we have a volunteer to get the program started, but still require a coordinator or at least volunteers to cover the following responsibilities.
For the first cycle of pizza orders of the year:
- Photocopy, collate and staple envelopes to forms.
- Deliver Ziploc bags with teacher letters, forms and envelopes to classrooms.
- Ask office staff to arrange for student helpers as needed.
- Find 1 or 2 volunteers to supervise pizzas (that have been pre-boxed by class by the provider) being delivered to the right classrooms by students for the first few pizza Fridays.
For later cycles of pizza orders:
- Update forms.
- Photocopy, collate and staple envelopes to forms.
- Deliver Ziploc bags with teacher letters, forms and envelopes to classrooms.
- Get class lists from the office and process the orders. Record each child’s pizza and apple order.
- Get cheques and cash ready for deposit.
- Tabulate the orders by class and track down missing orders by emailing the teachers. The Pizza for Everyone program is intended to include a response from every student.
- Place the order: total the order and place it with the pizza provider.
- Have treasurer prepare cheques.
