Bike to School Week – Thanks to all the families who sent their students to school by bike. We were pleased to see that many students rode in the rain. Well done, and not one student melted! Thank you to families for sending in appropriate rain wear. We LOVE our outdoor time and will often head out to play despite the light rain. The weather forecast does indicate that the wet Spring will continue.
School Council – Thanks to all our council members for your dedication to meetings, discussions and always working toward giving our students the best experience. School Council Minutes May 2019
Council voting members will be meeting briefly on June 11 to review the information provided on replacing the school sign. This is an expensive project and we want to ensure that we have clear direction moving forward. If you have not had a chance to voice your opinion, or want further information, please do so by contacting Mrs. Bileski at the school.
Volunteers – We are ever so grateful for the many volunteers that give their time to our students and staff.
We have been so fortunate to have a full Nutrition for Learning snack program at MJ, thanks to this amazing group of volunteers. Our students LOVE their morning snack and never have to worry about hunger and nutrition.
We are now in succession planning as we look for a new co-coordinator for the program as Stephanie will step down after so many years with the NFL program. To ensure a smooth transition, this new volunteer will shadow Stephanie for the remainder of this year. I will continue as one of the co-coordinators of the program but will need help with the daily activities. Please click here NFL Volunteer Opportunity for further information.
