School Council Meets this Wednesday, Nov. 21. Please join us at 7pm in the library. We will be voting on the budget and looking at plans for the new year. All are welcome and childcare will be provided.

Book Fair – thanks to Mrs. Shaver for another successful book fair! Any money raised from the book fair will go directly back into expanding our library resources.

Lost and Found – We are clearing out our lost and found this week. This is the largest left-over pile yet!  Please take a moment to label your child’s black snow-pants. We already have four pairs of black snow pants in the lost and found. MJ has a School Council fundraising connection to Mabel’s Labels. Click here  to order  your labels so items can easily be matched with their owners.

Walking School Bus – we are really happy to see how well our walking school bus is growing and thriving! Student Transportation is also impressed that this initiative was able to get off the ground so quickly. Alex from Student Transportation came to visit staff to ask for a week of data collection. Teachers will be asking students how they got to school and home each day. Using this data, we will be able to set goals for all families. The overall goal is to reduce car traffic around the school.

Clair Creek – Mon to Fri:

Begin at Branstone/Clair Creek near UB 1 Pool, and walk along Amberwood. 

Meet at 8:40am

Leighland – Wed and Fri:

Begin at Buckingham Blvd., walk along the hydro-line corridor to reach Leighland and walk along Leighland to Keats Way.

Meet at 8:40am

Winchester – Wed:

Begin at BeechWood West 2 pool, located at 431 Winchester Dr., walk along Winchester Dr to Keats Way.
