Welcome Back! We have had a fantastic week so far and hope that you have too! We are happy to report that our students have quickly settled into their school routines and are already engaged in learning! Families have received a LOT of information this week, hopefully you have sorted through the paper and had a chance to sign and return the necessary items. Have you also checked the items on the School Year Information wigit, to the left of this post? Planners are $7 and can be paid with cash or on School Day.

The above letter was sent home in planners, your copy may or may not be two pages as our photocopier has been greatly affected by the humidity! Below are the highlights:

  • Meet the Staff, Wednesday, September 12, 6:30-8pm. We hope to see you here, visiting your child’s classroom and introducing yourself to  your child’s teachers. We will be selling new school Spirit Wear! Please drop by the gym to try items on for size. Online ordering is available so bring along your credit card 🙂
  • September 12 is student picture day.
  • New Office Reno – Our office is looks so good and is ALMOST ready for us to move in! In the meantime, if you need to enter the school, please look for the outside Library door! Thanks for your patience.
  • Walking School Bus – we have a small group of parents and volunteers who will be starting our Walking School Bus!!! Please stay tuned as we hope to begin this awesome service SOON!
  • Parking in the NO parking zone. Mrs. Bileski has been trying to be outside at drop-off and pick-up, to remind drivers NOT to park in the zones that are clearly marked No parking. Please take a moment to locate the signs, they are posted on the three light standards. The bus zone is the most important, when you park there, our bus driver is not able to pull in and has to circle the block which delays the route. Please follow the rules of the road.
  • School Council – The first School Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 7pm in the school library. Please come on out to hear all about the great things that MJ parents do for our school.
