Art’s Night

at Mary Johnston Public School

Who: Mary Johnston Public School’s Families and Friends

What: – View artwork created by Mary Johnston students

  • See, up close, a variety of art forms and pieces created by parents and friends from our own community
  • Participate in creating collaborative pieces of artwork with your family
  • Partake in artistic learning experiences (e.g., dance to a ‘Zumba’ routine, sing along to some favourite tunes, join in an Aboriginal Drum Circle, etc.)
  • Try some delicious foods at our “Foods From Around the World Sampling Experience”
  • Silent auction with an opportunity to win a piece of art created by all of the M.J. students

Where: All over Mary Johnston Public School

Why: To celebrate and experience a variety of art forms from around the world!

Are you able to help?

We are looking for parent/community volunteers to donate their time and talents to help us make this event spectacular.

Do you (or know someone who) have a gift in:

pottery-making, looming, singing, acting, story-telling, story-writing, cooking, weaving, knitting, quilting, painting, playing an instrument, belong to a multicultural dance group, own specialized art supplies (e.g., inks, paints, clay), etc. and are willing to showcase your gift for our school community?
