It is time for the annual Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Safe, Caring and Inclusive Schools (SCIS) survey (formally called the School Climate survey).

Who?

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 at MJ will be completing the survey at school.  Staff input is received through the staff survey.

Parents and guardians are invited to complete the parent survey once for each child they have registered at a WRDSB school, regardless of the grades of the students.  We encourage parents and guardians to complete the survey with their child by their side so that all students at the school have an opportunity to provide input and so that parents are made aware of all SCIS related-issues affecting their child.

When?

The survey will remain open until May 31.

Where?

You can access the survey from the MJ website or the WRDSB website.  If you do not have Internet access you are welcome to complete the survey at MJ.  Just contact the main office to inquire about doing so.

Why?

The SCIS survey is the primary method for you to have input into the actions of MJ’s SCIS team as well as a way for you to let the school principal know how you are feeling about the climate at the school.  Every Fall MJ’s SCIS team reviews the data from our survey.  We use this information to guide our priorities for the school year.   We want to hear from many of you so that we can trust the data is representative!
