Walk to School Wednesday June 20th – 8:30 am
We are really excited to promote another walk to school Wednesday!! Get out your sneakers, scooters and bikes and take the time to walk to school along with our distinguished guests!
At 8:30am, meet Mayor Jaworsky and Mrs. Bileski on Kingsford Pl. and Winchester. On the other side of the neighbourhood, meet Colleen Cooper and Nancy Wirtz, from the Walking School Bus on Clair Creek and Bennington Gate. We will use the same walk to school routes as last time, see the maps below.
Our LIT (Leaders in Training) have invited our MPP Catherine Fife and Mayor Jaworsky to join us as they work to educate drivers on safety in our community. Please look out for students waving signs along Brynhurst Blvd. Signs will indicate the bus zone area, as well as the drop off zone. Students would like to teach drivers that you cannot park in these zones! At 9:15am, the LIT group will have time to meet and greet the visiting dignitaries and discuss community safety.
